Matt is passionate about humanitarian work and has been a long time personal supporter of Medicines Sans Frontiers (Doctors without Borders). Since February of 2026, the studio as a whole became a supporter of MSF with a portion of every lesson that we conduct being donated directly to their crucial work across the world. This circumvents the typical payment processing fees and sees donations make an even greater impact.

(Médecins Sans Frontières or MSF) is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization that provides emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural/man-made disasters, and healthcare exclusion. Operating in over 70 countries, they deliver free, impartial, and life-saving care—including surgery, vaccination campaigns, and maternal care—regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation. 

Key Activities and Focus Areas

  • Emergency Response: Immediate, independent medical aid during crises like war, disasters, and disease outbreaks.

  • Medical Care: Providing basic healthcare, conducting complex surgeries, and running hospitals or mobile clinics in remote areas.

  • Vaccination & Nutrition: Implementing campaigns for preventable diseases and running nutrition centers for malnourished children.

  • Specialized Treatment: Addressing "neglected" or endemic diseases (e.g., Ebola, cholera, TB) and providing mental health services.

  • Water & Sanitation: Supplying clean water, sanitation, and shelter when critical to public health.

  • Independent: Approximately 90% of funding comes from private donors, ensuring they do not rely on governments or companies whose interests might conflict with their mission.

  • Neutral and Impartial: Providing care based on need, without taking sides in armed conflicts. 

Founded in 1971, MSF has grown to include tens of thousands of health professionals and staff worldwide.
